Our first encounter with Merve and Güven was months before their wedding. With the warm phone call we had before, I already felt that we would understand each other well. We planned both the save the date shoot and the wedding days with the laughter accompanying the deep conversation as if we were meeting before.
We decided to use the historical texture of the Islands for Save the Date shots. Meeting at the Bostancı pier and passing to the island, Güven - as every groom candidate thinks - "I don't like taking pictures, I think you focus on Merve." he said. In the shoot that I started by saying "Hı hı", Güven "And pull me one by one." When he said, my response was quick: "Sorry, I'm focusing on Merve, we'll add you now with Photoshop." :)
The Save the Date shoot is important to see how the couple and the photographer progress together before the wedding day. In this way, both parties know each other and the situation turns out to be posing for the stranger on the wedding day.
As a matter of fact, when we went to Lüleburgaz to film their wedding with Merve and Güven a few months after this shoot, we were like friends who had not met for a while. Later, Merve became my dentist, it's a different story :)
Now I'm leaving you with the Save the Date photos.
